ARTIST BIO

Ambika has been a singer for many years. In a former incarnation she sang in various bands in NYC until she discovered chanting with Krishna Das around 1996. Kirtan had a profound effect on her, and lead her to India where she continued to deepen her connection to the chants. This practice has become her refuge over the years and she is grateful to be chanting the Divine Name with so many others. In February 2015, Ambika released a brand new digital single "Metta Chant", produced and recorded by Devadas Labrecque in 2014. She is currently recording her first full-length album, produced by Lily Cushman, for release in the fall of 2016 on the Vanaras Music record label.
